About Olivia
I’m Olivia, last name Fishwick hence the name Fishwick’s Food! I live in North West England. I love art, reading and writing. I never shut up, sometimes I talk way too much. I bloody love a deep conversation at times. I’ve a wicked sense of humour, love visiting new places (I have a tick list of places to go such as Switzerland, Seoul, Aus and Tokyo). I love a good brew and live for eating new food.
My love for books
Ever since I was a child my mum used to have to drag me out of bookshops. I started writing my first fantasy novel at around 10 years old and designed book covers on Illustrator on my dad’s Mac when I was a kid. I’d ditch these novels and have around 200 pages of different books scattered across laptops and computers. In 2014 I decided to follow that childhood dream and am still writing the same story I’ve been working on for the past 10 years.
My education and career
After my A-Levels, I did a Digital Marketing Apprenticeship and then a degree in Digital Marketing so that I could use the student loan to start my makeup business (@oliviafmakeup) which absolutely boomed. Then Covid hit, shut me down, I graduated and found myself money-less without even a student loan to prop me up. So, I returned to the place I did my apprenticeship at, who was a client of an agency which I then applied to work for. Now, I’m a Digital Marketing Lead at this agency and specialise in digital services for law firms. I work with lawyers all across London and the North of England and absolutely ADORE it!
Fun Facts
- I learnt how to read and write Hangul (Korean alphabet) in the 2020 lockdown
- I competed for the Lancashire Gymnastics Team twice in 2009 and 2010 and came 2nd overall in Lancashire 🥈
- My fav alcoholic drink is an aperol spritz or prosecco with a shot of chambord in it
- My fav cuisine is Indian
